13 - 18 FEBRUARY 2012
Foxit Reader 5.1
What does your computer setup look like?
You will find some interesting comparisons here.
At the last meeting of the Digital Photographic SIG John Lucke discussed some of the features available in "GIMP", a graphics editor program.
John has put together a basic introduction to the program for those members who might like to try the program on their own computers. Click here for a PDF version or here for a Microsoft Word version.
Details of next week's meetings are below:
Friday 10 February - Seniors - 9:30am - 12:30pm
This month the group will examine ways of customizing and using some of the features of Foxit Reader 5.1.
There will also be a question and answer session to discuss any computer problems members have encountered during the month.
Friday 10 February - Communications - J. Lucke - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
At this meeting the group will take a close look at the computer and web based versions of Microsoft OneNote.
OneNote has been a part of Microsoft Office since 2003 but it is often overlooked by users. Nevertheless, it is a very useful program for gathering free-form information and multi-user collaboration.
A question and answer session will also be held to discuss communications issues at the meeting.
Please remember if your e-mail address is changed for any reason at all, unless you tell me your new address you will not receive these weekly updates! Any change of address should be notified to firstname.lastname@example.org
