Tim Kelly

Meeting This Week:

Main Meeting - Tuesday 27th Jun - 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Our June Main Meeting Guest is Samsung Electronics Australia - and our raffle prize is a 1TB 960 PRO SSD from Samsung valued at $819!

Our special guest presenter is Mr Richard Chan, Product Manager — Brand Memory at Samsung Australia, who will be telling us all about Samsung's top-rated SSDs - solid state drives.

SSDs represent the one true upgrade for existing desktops and notebooks from old fashioned spinning hard drive technology that delivers an extremely noticeable boost in speed - making your computer feel like new again, working at light speed.

Samsung's SSD storage technology has delivered among the fastest and highest capacity consumer SSDs available, delivering capacities from 120GB all the way through to 4TB, with each new generation delivering faster speeds, greater capacities and ever more affordable prices.

You can learn more here before the meeting.

Samsung also now offers second generation, super slim, external USB 3.0 Portable SSDs that deliver among the fastest speeds possible.

We'll learn more about them at the meeting, but in the meantime you can find out more here.

You can also buy a raffle ticket to be in the chance to win a massively super-fast 1TB 960 SSD from Samsung, priced at $819 at MSY, which means its RRP would be even greater.

We'll also have our regular segments including general business, consumer reports, latest tech news, interesting web sites, Q&A (where your tech questions are answered), our monthly raffle to win interesting tech prizes and more!

We're the Sydney PC & Technology User Group, and we've been around since 1984, with members helping members and plenty of amazing meetings where we've learned about incredible technologies.

The website is www.sydneypc.com where you can see write-ups of previous meetings, with presentations by a range of top tech companies you'll easily recognise.

So come along, bring your friends (there's no charge to attend), and learn about the latest developments in the world of tech since last month, get your questions answered, see some interesting new websites, share your consumer technology experiences, and learn about the latest in Solid State Drives and Portable SSDs from Samsung Electronics Australia!

Cheers

Alex
