Sydney Harbour
WEEKLY NEWSLETTER 27 MAY - 1 JUNE 2019

Hello and Welcome,

Meetings This Week:

Main Meeting - Tuesday May 28th - 5:30 pm (6:00 pm meeting start) - 8:00 pm

May Main Meeting

This month our special guest is Optus, who will be presenting in the second session.

Lambo Kanagaratnam, the VP Network Employment at Optus will be coming in to talk 5G with what I've been promised is some great show, and Optus is looking for a prize for our raffle, too. I don't know what the prize will be as yet, and I'll update you via Bob and the newsletter.

We did have Synology scheduled to present this month, but they've asked if they can present in July instead when their local distributor is available, so apologies for the change of plans there, but Synology is still coming in a couple of months, and they'll have a range of new products and services to share, so we'll be fully up to date.

I'm in Taiwan for the Computex Computer Show, with Asus, who I'll be having come and present later this year, too.

I'll be sharing the Powerpoint presentation with our President, Ron, and there will be some interesting links, news and more.

I'd also suggest everyone has the break a few minutes early, so that Lambo from Optus can start a few minutes earlier — these companies always think they have less presentation material than the time available, but we know from experience that they usually run out of time, especially when there are questions!

So, apologies that I won't be there in person on Tuesday, but you'll definitely learn a great deal about Optus 5G from Lambo and what it means for the future, and with luck there will be a nifty prize, too.

Have a great meeting on Tuesday night!

Cheers,

Alex

Penrith Group - Saturday Jun 1st - 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The meeting normally starts with a Q&A session around the table to enable members to share problems, advice and computer tips.

The group will then consider any further computer topics of interest.
