August Main Meeting - Tuesday 20 at 12.30pm

Hi everyone!

It's nearly time for the August Main Meeting, and we have two special guest presenters this month.

First we'll start with the latest news and any consumer reports. I'll personally have just come from the Samsung Note 10 event in Sydney, so we'll take a quick look at the Note10 intro video that goes for about 3 minutes.

There's also the Samsung Note 10 keynote, which I'll direct you to and which you should take a look at in your own time — as always, these keynotes are must-see events.

We'll try to squeeze some Q&A in, if there are any questions, and I'm sure to have another gadget or two to show you.

Then our first presenter is Elizabeth Ryu, Director of HappyTel. With 58 stores across Australia, and 8 in Sydney alone, HappyTel has all the smartphone accessories that you need to customise and personalise your mobile computing experience.

Whether it is smartphone and tablet cases, screen protectors, batteries, repairs and more, Elizabeth will tell us all about Happytel's products and services, and how they can help you.

Elizabeth will also tell us about the new customer service partnership with Huawei, and if we're lucky, Elizabeth will have something for our raffle.

After this will be our 15 to 20 minute break, by which time it will be approximately 2pm, and our second presenter of the day will be ready.

The second guest presenter is Alex San, Product Manager at Acer Australia.

With a distinguished career as a product manager in the computer and network security industry for over 17 years, Alex will be sharing his insights on Acer's product development over the last couple of years and its vision moving forward — including reinventing the thin and light notebook category with its latest Swift 7 range.

Alex will also be talking through some of Acer's upcoming Australia product launches, including the ConceptD hardware range which was recently featured at Computex in Taiwan.

Acer is also generously donating Acer R271 27" FHD Monitor, worth $349.00 RRP, as the main prize in the raffle. Perfect for everyday computing with an ultra-thin enclosure and ZeroFrame design, these monitors fit perfectly into the home or office.

And that will conclude our August main meeting, so see you there at 12.30pm!

Cheers,

Alex.
