(nee Stukeley)

Born Goondiwindi, Queensland.
Late of Maroubra.
Passed away 26.08.2020
at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick.
Aged 87 years.

Dearly loved wife of Dr Malcolm Robertson. Mother to Amanda
(Jane), David, Helen and Richard.
Grandmother to William, Thomas
and Amy.

A former Head Theatre Sister at Prince of Wales Special Unit (for Cancer Research) which was an independent hospital within PoW Hospital, and this was where she also first met Malcolm. Joan was actively involved in the community and was a long-time member of the Cape Banks Family History Society. Joan was a loving and supportive lady who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Joan's life will be celebrated at South Chapel, Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park Crematorium, Military Road Matraville on Thursday 3rd September 2020 commencing at 2:00 pm.

“With great sadness, we report the passing of Joan Robertson on 26th August 2020. Joan was a club member for many years, and with husband, Dr Malcolm Robertson regularly attended various special interest group meetings. With a keen interest in Family History, Joan was a greatly respected member of our Genealogy Group.”

Service arrangements

The service will be held this Thursday at South Chapel, Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park Crematorium, Military Road Matraville on Thursday 3rd September 2020 commencing at 2:00 pm.

Any people wishing to attend are to furnish their name and contact info to the funeral service organisers as required under COVID-19 requirements.

Alternatively, the funeral service organisers will be providing a live stream of the service, starting from 2:00 pm, Thursday.

The organisers do not want these details to go out with this Newsletter. Anyone wishing to watch this live stream can reply to this Newsletter, and I will be happy to send you the details.

They give a detailed explanation of your internet requirements as well as a test video to watch before the event.

This test video is an excellent high-definition stream, so it should give an incredible feeling of "being there".
