Sydney Harbour

Hello and Welcome,

Meeting TODAY

Main Meeting - Tuesday, 22 Jun - 5:30 pm (6:00 pm meeting start) - 8:00 pm

Due to all of the recent COVID restrictions introduced in Sydney and surrounding areas, and after an email and discussion with Alex Zaharov-Reutt, we have decided that our Main Meeting should be a virtual one and not face to face.

We will use ZOOM for our Main Meeting, and Alex will provide the login details before the start time.

June 2021 Main Meeting

Hi everyone!

Well, we were going to have another hybrid meeting this month, but given the Delta COVID variant of concern that has caused the resumption of mask-wearing on public transport and mask-wearing indoors in various LGAs, which includes the City of Sydney, we have decided to hold the June Main Meeting virtually this month.

Meeting details below, but first, the invite:

Topic: SPCTUG June Main Meeting

Time: Jun 22, 2021, 06:00 pm Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney

Join the Zoom Meeting

Meeting ID: 843 2167 2019

Passcode: 909813

This month, we'll take a look at the improvements to be delivered in Windows 11, which will be unveiled to the world on June 25, Australian time.

Windows 11 has leaked onto the Internet, and it looks like a bit of a blend of Windows 10 and macOS — more a gentle evolution rather than any kind of revolution.

We've downloaded it, and we'll take a peek at the leaked version and see what it looks like, so we can compare it to what Microsoft actually launches at the end of this week, where they'll also announce when Windows 11 will be available.

There's also the upcoming iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS 12 and more. Apple's recent keynote had some great demonstrations of how it will all work, and we'll explore some of those new features, with the public betas coming in July and the final versions due in September or October this year.

There will be other interesting news and gadgetry, as well as answering your questions, so see you at 6 pm on Tuesday night via Zoom!

Cheers and best regards,

— Alex
